Charity and Fundraising

At Alexander Beard we are continually fundraising for different charities throughout the year, here are some of the activities that we have participated in recently...

  • Pavilions for Okana - Rüdiger, our AGP representative for German speaking countries, took more than 4 weeks off to help on a construction project in Africa, which involved building a community centre for the African village Okana to encourage learning and development in the area.

  • Macmillan Cancer Support - World's biggest coffee morning (September 2016): We raised £74.30 for the Macmillan charity.  Thank you to Felicity Lawrence for arranging this.

  • Charity Midnight Walk (August 2016): Nigel Benn raised £251.77 for Overgate Hospice.

  • 100 Mile Bike Ride (July 2016) – Andrew Moore managed to raise £1,165.03 for MyBnk, a charity that teaches financial skills to children and young adults from all backgrounds.

  • Christmas Bake Off (December 2015): We raised £35.00 which was donated to an adoption charity chosen by the Winner Robyn Parry.

  • Siobhan's Rat Race Coast to Coast (August 2015): Siobhan Taylor managed to raise £440.00 for Wirral Hospice St John's.

  • Race For Life: Pretty Muddy 5K (June 2015): Several ABG staff members took part in this race for Cancer Research.

  • Hannah’s Chester & Warrington Half Marathon (May 2015): Hannah Chorley managed to raise £648.00 for Save the Family.

  • TEC Ride of the Roses (October 2014): John Croasdale raised £760.00 which was donated to Wirral Hospice St John’s.
