Born in Lancashire, and qualifying as an Accountant in 1982, (Elected a Fellow of CIMA in 1994), Ian worked for several small and large companies (including 3M and Pilkington), before moving to the City in 1987.
The next 17 years with Morgan Grenfell, SG Warburg, Mercury Asset Management and Perpetual gave Ian an extensive background knowledge and a broad understanding of the financial markets from the inside. Ian became a Financial Adviser in 2004 working in Southampton, Newbury and the Thames Valley before joining the London office of Alexander Beard in 2016.
Ian has Accountancy and Will Writing qualifications and is a Chartered Member of the Securities Institute. He can therefore combine these with wide Financial Services industry experience to provide comprehensive, consolidated advice on a broad range of issues. Also, this background allows Ian to work alongside clients’ Accountants and Solicitors with an understanding of their approach and priorities. Ian advises on Pensions, Investments, Protection, Mortgages / Financing and Estate Planning for all levels of business and personal clients.
Ian moved to Berkshire in 1983, has been married for 23 years and has a 20 year old daughter. A lifelong Liverpool fan, Ian still plays local league soccer, but now also enjoys skiing, tennis and irregular (and inconsistent) golf.
