Changes to UK State Pension are imminent

It will be called “The New State Pension.”

The change will affect people who reach retirement age on or after 6th April 2016 – This is men born on or after 6th April 1951 and women born on or after 6th April 1953.

35 years of National Insurance contributions will ensure a full New State Pension, currently guaranteeing a minimum of £148.35 weekly for 2014/15. The figure for 2016 /17 will be decided in Autumn 2015.

To receive any pension under the new structure you will need a minimum of 10 years of “qualifying years” on your National Insurance record – These can be from before or after 6th April 2016 and they don’t have to be consecutive years.

If you already have qualifying years prior to the change in April 2016, these will be used to work out your “starting amount” in the new structure.

Please have a look at www.gov.uk/new-state-pension for specific details on how it may affect you.

International Medical Cover

We realise from employers and individual teachers that changing a Health Care package can be an exercise best avoided if possible.

However we are finding that schools more and more are requesting annual comparative options to fulfil employee and Board requirements to provide the best available plan, based on cost, cover and additional options.

We are very pleased to announce we can now also offer quotations for cover in countries assessed as being "high risk"  including 3 new additional options;

1. Red 24;
Evacuation based on medical and now security risk, covering natural disasters and terrorism.

2. Best Doctors;
A second opinion service.

3. Blood Care Foundation;
Delivery of requested blood within 24 hrs should local blood not be screened to Western standards.

We are able to provide quotations satisfying the Affordable Care Act Individual Mandate requirements in the United States if applicable.
