Happy New Year to everyone!

In Australia we have moved our offices from Sydney to Perth and replaced Stewart Ruppert with a new Managing Director – Dave Stone.
This better reflects where the larger percentage of our emigration related market resides and is also home to our dealer group partner, Sentry.
I am also delighted to announce the elevation of Holly Potts from Client Services Manager to Client Services Director - Employee Benefits. In the 2 years she has been with the firm she has demonstrated both a great commitment as well as a level of knowledge and service that our many EB clients have come to value. Holly’s promotion is well deserved.
March 31st will herald the ending of a 12 year relationship with La Mondiale Europartner in Luxembourg, our partners in the international retirement plan programme for globally mobile expatriate school teachers, charity and NGO staff. This was brought about by a change in corporate focus for LMEP’s business and we welcome our new Luxembourg partners Moventum - www.moventum.lu. The change also allowed us to tidy up some historical anomalies within this part of our business and combine all three international retirement plan offerings into one new contract on the same terms (or in some cases better) and at no cost to the individual members or their sponsoring employers and so the Alexander Beard International Retirement Plan was born on 1st January! This now incorporates the International Schools Retirement Plan versions i. ii. and iii; the TCN Retirement Plan and various individually contracted clients’ plans as well. There is a new 24/7 online client portal which is a distinct improvement on the previous version in terms of for clarity of information. We would value any feedback or suggestions for further improvement.
Last week I travelled to California to complete the formalities of opening the new base, in San Mateo, San Francisco Bay, for all our future operations in America. Our U.S.A. MD Scott Schwartz has now been joined there by our colleague Mark James who has now permanently relocated.
As I write this foreword we are in final throes of completing another acquisition which will further strengthen our UK Wealth Management business; this should be completed by the end of the month, so watch out for news on that.
2017 brings the 30th anniversary of the founding of this business and as I look back I find this difficult to believe, but one of the most rewarding things for me are the number of people who have served the company for many years, just have a look at the long serving staff recognition page on our website. Martin Shaw at Leeds branch completes 15 years; both Roger Knapton and Hannah Chorley; complete 10 years with the company and Emma Hawker and Liam Jones, 5 years each; thank you and congratulations to all concerned!
