Steve Stockwell

Steve commenced his career in financial services in 1988, initially in the Banking Sector before moving into the realms of financial advice. He subsequently worked with United Friendly and Britannic Assurance before undertaking a technical research position with an Independent Financial Adviser practice, a role which would then lead on to a period of self-employment as a freelance paraplanner and report writer.

In 2014, Steve joined the team at David McGowan Associates Limited and now works with Alexander Beard Wealth LLP since their parent company acquired the business in April 2017. He holds financial planning qualifications to Diploma level (DipFA) and has a wealth of experience in financial products, strategies and solutions.

​Steve is a lifelong musician, having been involved in brass bands since starting to learn at the tender age of 5½. As a euphonium player, he auditioned for BBC Young Musician of the Year in 1987 and has played with some famous bands at the very highest level, performing in venues such as the Royal Albert Hall, Wembley Stadium, Birmingham Symphony Hall and the Free Trade Hall in Manchester besides touring Norway, Germany and Austria. He has contributed to a number of CD recordings and has made several Radio and TV appearances, occasionally sharing the stage with some of the biggest names in show business.
