About Colin

Colin joined our employee benefits division in 2020 and brings more than 25 years of experience in financial services, advising corporate and individuals in employee benefits and financial planning, specialising in pension and employee engagement.

​He has been a main board director of various companies and worked at the Broadstone Group where he was head of global client development. Colin has substantial experience working with multinational companies, helping them manage their global employee benefit strategies.

Qualifications

  • FPC (Financial Planning Certificate)

    A recognition offered by the Chartered Insurance Institute in the United Kingdom. Individuals who hold this qualification have satisfied coursework and testing requirements set by the organisation.

  • Level 6 Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning

    This qualification enables professional advisers to develop specialist planning capabilities, covers topics such as: personal tax and trust, business financial, pension and investment planning.

  • DipPFS (Diploma in Financial Planning)

    This level 4 diploma meets the FCA’s qualification requirements for retail investment advisers, demonstrating core technical knowledge and financial planning capabilities across six core areas.

  • AFPC (Advanced Financial Planning Certificate)

    In order to have completed this qualification, individuals were required to obtain three units. These could have been selected from any combination of the available units at that time but must have included the compulsory G10 unit - Taxation and Trusts.

  • CertCII (Life and Pensions) Certificate in Financial Planning (Life & Pensions route)

    The life and pensions route builds knowledge and understanding of the sector’s role and its activities. It considers important customer needs, solutions and products, and how individuals and organisations work within the regulatory and legislative environment.

A fun fact about Colin

Growing a six metre sunflower in Cubs was one of Colin’s highest achievements (literally) — and nearly the tallest ever recorded in the UK. He almost bankrupted his sponsors!
